Report of Consultation Meeting with Fisheries Administration Cantonment and Fisheries Community to Draw a Map of Marine Fisheries Management Area Including Fisheries Refugia in Kampot Province

Abstract

Consultation Meeting with Fisheries Administration Cantonment and Fisheries Community to Draw a Map of Marine Fisheries Management Area Including Fisheries Refugia in Kampot Province was conducted by Fisheries Administration, at Kampot Province, on 3-6 September 2018. The meeting resulted that Fisheries Administration Cantonment in Kampot and Community Fisheries agreed FiA’s proposal to produce MFMA’s map to ensure sustainable marine fisheries resource management in Kampot, especially sea grass, coral reef, and mangrove forest, which are critical habitat for feeding, spawning and nursery of fish species such as Grouper.
