Report of the Second Meeting of Thailand’s National Scientific and Technical Committee

The Second Meeting of Thailand’s National Scientific and Technical Committee was conducted at the Department of Fisheries in Bangkok on 26 November 2019. The meeting was attended by 20 participants, including board committee, Technical Assistants and observers. The meeting reviewed existing information and data of both selected refugia sites in Trat and Surat Thani Province including the impacts from fishing gears, fish biological data, existing management measures, and other management areas linkage to the management. The meeting also highlights 40 trawlers participated to the enhancing of blue swimming crab in Surat Thani Province by volunteer releasing the spawners (gravid crab) to nature.
