The public dissemination meeting was held from 26 to 28 December 2022 in three targeted sites of Koh Kong province such as Village 4, Bak Khlorng Village, and Koh Kapi Village. The objectives are to disseminate the importance and advantage of the establishment of short mackerel refugia, and marine endangered animal species to community fisheries.

The provincial stakeholder consultation meeting on finalizing the boundary of marine fisheries management area including fisheries refugia in Kampot was organized by the Fisheries Administration(FiA) of Cambodia collaborating with Kampot Provincial Hall Administration and Kampot Fisheries Administration Cantonment on 13 December 2022, funded by SEAFDEC/UNEP/GEF Fisheries Refugia, under presided by Mr. Pel Kosal, Deputy Provincial Governor of Kampot province. The meeting was conducted at Kampot Provincial Hall Administration, which was attended by 26 participants from the Fisheries Administration, Fisheries Administration Cantonment in Kampot, Provincial Department of Environment, Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, Department of Land, Urban, Construction, and Cadastral, Department of Public Works and Transports, Provincial Department of Tourism, Bokor City, local authority, NGO, and community fisheries.
