<description>Report of the Regional Training on Socioeconomic Data and Community Resilience in Small-scale Fisheries
Training Department, Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center;
The Regional Training on Socioeconomic Data and Community Resilience in Small-scale Fisheries, held from 27–31 October 2025 under the project “Improving Fishers’ Livelihood and Fisheries Co-management in Inland and Coastal Small-scale Fisheries,” comprised lectures at the SEAFDEC Training Department and field practice in Chonburi Province, Thailand. Organized in response to recommendations from the Regional Small-scale Fisheries (SSF) Training in Asia, the initiative aimed to address critical gaps—such as limited personnel skills and insufficient resources—by enhancing regional technical capacity in socioeconomic data collection and analysis. Ultimately, the training served to equip fisheries officers with essential tools and skills to foster community resilience and promote sustainable small-scale fisheries management across the region.
