<title>Identification Guide to Scombrid Fishes and Larvae of Southeast Asia</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12067/1947</link>
<description>Identification Guide to Scombrid Fishes and Larvae of Southeast Asia
Konishi, Yoshinobu; Chayakul, Rangsan; Punsri, Rakkiet; Changphetphol, Nathacha
Despite the economic importance of pelagic fisheries like Engraulidae and Scombridae in Southeast Asia, overfishing and advanced gear have led to significant population declines, necessitating urgent conservation measures such as seasonal fishing bans and ichthyoplankton surveys. However, effective stock management is currently hindered by a regional shortage of experts and the lack of a specialized identification guide for local fish larvae. To address these gaps, the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) has initiated training workshops and developed a dedicated larval fish identification book to standardize research, reduce reliance on non-regional reference materials, and ultimately ensure the sustainability of marine capture fisheries.

<title>Early Stages of Marine Fishes in Southeast Asian Region</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12067/566</link>
<description>Early Stages of Marine Fishes in Southeast Asian Region
Konishi, Yoshinobu; Chayakul, Rangsan; Chamchang, Chongkolnee; Duangdee, Teerapong
This monograph contains morphological characters of marine fish larvae found in the Southeast Asia region. Seventy‐two families in the fourteen orders are selected as the commercially important taxa for the marine capture fisheries in the region. Each chapter of the families consists of a morphological character table, a meristic table in genus level and illustrations.

<description>Eggs and Larvae Survey with Emphasis on Early Life History of Marine Fish Resources
Hayase, Shigeo
Eggs and Larvae Survey with Emphasis on Early Life History of Marine Fish Resources has been prepared with intention of summarizing the existing knowledge about the eggs and larvae and the early life history of marine fishes. It is based on revisions and summaries of several lectures presented by the author at regional training courses on fishery stock assessment and fishery statistics held at SEAFDEC, Bangkok in September-October, 1981
