Report of Stakeholder Consultation Workshop for Fisheries Refugia with Provincial Line Departments in Kampot
Abstract
Stakeholder Consultation Workshop for Fisheries Refugia in Kampot was conducted by Fisheries Administration on 14 November 2018. The meeting aimed to introduce and consult with the Kampot Provincial Line Departments. The results of workshop are improved knowledge on fisheries refugia by the provincial lead Departments such as military police, and maritime navy, and etc. who related to the sustainable development projects/programs at provincial level. The workshop identified the provincial program/projects related to sustainable development as well as the results of threats fish life cycle and critical habitat linkages, baseline information and data collection plans, the stakeholder analysis and engagement planning, and the planning of socio economic survey in use assessment impact of area based management in the area of fisheries refugia sites, and use of media for communication. The meeting was attended by 23 participants, including Fisheries Administration Cantonment in Kampot, Department of Environment, Department of Planning, Department of Tourism, Department of Land, Construction and Cadastral, Department of Planning, Provincial Military Police, Marine Navy, Water Boundary Police 241.
