Abstract
Stakeholder Initiation Meeting was conducted by Department Of Fisheries, Thailand, at Surat Thani Province, on 19-20 July 2017. The meeting aimed to initiative introduce the project and discuss on possibility to creating fisheries refugia for target aquatic species to promote a sustainable management of fisheries resources. Issues and problems facing by the fishermen as well as the selecting of target species for management were discussed. The meeting was attended by 34 fishermen.
