Abstract
Traditional Fishermen Consultation in East Coast of Johor, Lobster Refugia Project, Tanjung Leman, Johor was conducted by the Department of Fisheries, Malaysia, at Johor, on 20 August 2017. The meeting aimed to introduce on the Refugia Project to relevant stakeholders, including sharing of the information on the life cycle and spawning season, as well as the area where spawners are frequently found. Besides, the meeting Identified threats and problems faced by fishermen and discussed on agreement of the target group for refugia establishment for seeking full cooperation to achieve the project implementation. The meeting attended by 130 traditional Zone A fishermen from Mersing, Endau, Tanjung Sedili, Tanjung Leman, and Pengerang at the Kampung Sedili Kecil Community Hall, Sedili, Johor. Meeting results are available.
