Abstract
The Stakeholder Consultation with Trawler Fishermen of Endau and Tanjung Sedili, East Coast Waters of Johor, on Lobster Refugia Project in Tanjung Leman, Johor was conducted by Department of Fisheries, Malaysia, at Johor, on 30-31 July 2018. The meeting aimed to introduce on the Refugia Project to relevant stakeholders, including sharing of the information on the life cycle and spawning season, as well as the area where spawners are frequently found. Besides, the meeting Identified threats and problems faced by fishermen and discussed on agreement of the target group for refugia establishment for seeking full cooperation to achieve the project implementation. The meeting attended by 32 participants, including Zone B and Zone C trawler fishermen from Mersing and Endau. Meeting results are available.
