Report of Fisheries Refugia Stakeholders Consultation Workshop at Masinloc Site
Abstract
Fisheries Refugia Stakeholders Consultation Workshop at Masinloc Site was conducted by The National Fisheries Research and Development Institute, at Zambales, on 13-15 November 2018. The meeting aimed to present the importance of establishing a fisheries refugia in the area, goals and objectives, the highlights of the activities conducted in Masinloc, Zambales for year 2017 and 1st quarter of 2018, the initial results of Fisheries Data Collection in Masinloc, the Ichthyoplankton Survey conducted in Masinloc and identification of target species and threats for the establishments of fisheries refugia. The meeting attended by representatives from LGU, BFAR regional Office I, Barangay Captain of coastal Barangays of Masinloc, Philippine Coast Guard, Academe, Bantay Dagat, & NFARMC.
