dc.description.abstractThe Philippines is bounded by several water bodies, of which the South China Sea is one. The fisheries Refugia concept emphasizes on the quality of the different habitat and its important function to the life-cycle of the different fished species. As the Philippines is part of this project, the Fisheries Refugia sites of this country are Bolinao Fisheries Refugia Site; Masinloc Fisheries Refugia Site; Coron Fisheries Refugia Site. The priority species in these areas are the two species of Siganids, Auxis thazard, and Lutjanus argentimaculatus, respectively.en
