dc.description.abstractThe stakeholder consultation meeting for establishing fisheries refugia in West Kalimantan was organized by Research Institute for Fish resource Enhancement in Padang Tikar Village (Kubu Raya District), and Dusun Besar-Pulau Maya (Kayong Utara District), West Kalimantan on 22-23-24September 2021 with the total of 12, 10 and 25 participants respectively. The objectives of the meeting were to gain information regarding fishing activities and fishing ground for shrimp especially banana (Penaeus merguiensis) and white shrimp (Penaeus indicus) in Padang Tikar; to identify key threats to shrimp stock and the critical habitat linkages in Padang Tikar area; to identify key threats to fisheries refugia site; and to draft maps of fisheries refugia boundary in West Kalimantan.en
