The Sixth Meeting of Thailand’s National Scientific And Technical Committee

The sixth meeting of Thailand’s National Scientific and Technical Committee for the project entitled “Establishment and Operation of a Regional System of Fisheries Refugia in the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand” was conducted virtually via Zoom Platform by the Department of Fisheries on 11th August 2021, 13.30 – 16.30 hours. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Praulai Nootmorn, Senior Expert in Marine Fisheries and National Focal Point for Thailand, acted for Senior Expert in Fisheries Management, the Chairman, in his absence. There were 21 attendees participating in the meeting, composed of 15 committee members, 3 project officers for DOF, and 3 observers form Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, and Project Coordinating Unit. This meeting was focusing on the Information of Short Mackerel Resources in Koh Kong of Cambodia, Catch Information of Short Mackerel in Trat Province during the year 2019-2020, and the Management Planning for Fisheries Refugia of Short Mackerel at Trat Site concerning Gill Net Fisheries.
