Social aspects, labor requirements and the rights of coastal and inland communities to decent livelihoods are increasingly the international concern.
Under the ASEAN Economic Community and the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprints, these aspects are also reflected, specifically: -the organization and diversification of livelihoods in coastal and inland fishing communities, -working opportunities and migratory work force in the fishing sector (including post-harvest and processing), -role of women in communities and processing factories, -fishing as an alternative livelihood and the need for alternative livelihoods for people involved in fishing, - perspective of work and working conditions as key factors for fisheries management and trade, -the ASEAN Community and other relevant aspects.
