Proceeding of the 4th Technical Seminar on Marine Fishery Resources Survey in the South China Sea Area IV: Vietnamese Waters

Abstract

This, the fourth in the series of Technical Seminars on Marine Resources Survey, continues the essential evaluation of marine resources available in the South China Sea. This latest seminar is an evaluation of the waters of Vietnam. In the series of surveys this is identified as Area IV, There are two vital results from the survey activities, the first of these is that the scope, species composition and biomass estimation of the regional waters are assessed. Secondly another aspect is emphasized, that of the element of cooperation between the nations of the region such that no one country is isolated.
