Optional Approaches for the Crab Bank Scheme
Abstract
The paper reports the approaches done by the fishermen in two operational areas in Thailand and one operational area in Japan to protect and conserve the blue swimming crabs through the Crab Bank Scheme. The areas in Thailand were in Pakklong Sub-district, and in the Bang Saphan Bay Pilot Project, located in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and Chumphon Province, while the area in Japan was in the Settsu-Harima Fishermen Cooperative in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
