Introduction of the Japanese Model Crab-bank to a Fishing Community in Thailand
Abstract
The paper documents the results of the project that introduced the Japanese model crab-bank to a fishing community in Thailand. After three months, the results of the project showed that there is an increasing awareness among local crab fishers on crab resources conservation. Even without compensation, the local fishermen voluntarily released the gravid crab to the sea.
