dc.descriptionThis workshop focuses on promoting gender mainstreaming in Southeast Asia’s small-scale fisheries (SSF), recognizing the vital role of women in fisheries and the need for gender equality. Organized by SEAFDEC and supported by the Japanese Trust Fund, the project aims to integrate gender perspectives into fisheries management and livelihood improvement. The workshop strengthened participants’ knowledge of gender inclusion, shared case studies, and updated information on gender activities in fisheries. The expected outcomes included improved understanding of gender mainstreaming and practical suggestions for advancing gender equality and social inclusion in SEAFDEC Member Countries.en
