SEAFDEC/TD and SEAFDEC/IFRDMD co-organized an online Inception Workshop on the Small-scale Fisheries Project, which was held on 30 July 2025 via a virtual platform. The workshop aimed to kick off the project “Improving Fishers’ Livelihood and Fisheries Co-management in Inland and Coastal Small-scale Fisheries”, supported by the Japanese Trust Fund 7 (JTF7). The main objectives were to introduce the project's goals, objectives, and planned activities, outlining specific actions to be implemented at designated pilot sites. The workshop also served as a platform for SEAFDEC Member Countries to better understand the project’s scope and the specific interventions planned for the selected sites. Through open dialogue, participants were encouraged to share insights and contribute to aligning the project’s implementation with regional priorities.
