dc.description.abstract | The SEAFDEC Training Department has conducted regional training programs for fishery extension officers, with assistance from the Royal Netherlands Government under the Netherlands the Programme for Studies in the Region (SIR/DSO), since 1981. Eleven training courses, with a total of 269 participants from ten countries in South and Southeast Asian regions and Africa, have been organized by the Department between 1981 and 1990. Under its program for 1991, the Training Department organized an International Training Course for Fishery Extension Officers from 5 November to 18 December 1991.
