Description
The Oceans and Fisheries Partnership (USAID Oceans), adalah kemitraan antara the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) dengan the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), bekerja untuk memperkuat kerjasama regional dalam memerangi IUU (Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated) fishing, mempromosikan perikanan yang berkelanjutan dan melestarikan keanekaragaman hayati laut di wilayah Asia-Pasifik. Tulang punggung program adalah pengembangan dan implementasi dari sistem dokumentasi hasil tangkap dan ketertelusuran (Catch Documentation and Traceability System -CDTS) yang berkelanjutan secara finansial dan spesifik per negara. CDTS ini akan terintegrasi dengan sistem yang telah ada di pemerintah, dan akan memasukkan elemen data kesejahteraan manusia, dan akan didemonstrasikan dengan mengacu kepada kerangka Pengelolaan Perikanan dengan Pendekatan Ekosistem (EAFM).
