dc.descriptionThe study on the status of fisheries socioeconomics in the learning site of Ranong Province is the one activity under the project “Small-scale Fisheries Management for Better Livelihood and Fisheries Resources” with funding support from the Japanese Trust Fund. The project emphasized improving the livelihood and well-being of fishers and the sustainable management of small-scale fisheries in Southeast Asia. SEAFDEC/TD, in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries, Thailand has implemented the project activities in applying EAFM in the pilot learning site of Ranong Province. The study on the status of fisheries socio-economic in line with gender dimension was conducted in the pilot learning site of Ranong Province to collect the baseline information on the fishing community. The study results could help the policymaker and project manager develop and formulate the EAFM plan and its activities in line with the community condition to sustain the small-scale fishers’ livelihood and fishery resources.en
