Monitoring Socio-economics of the ICRM Project Pathew District, Chumphon Province
Abstract
The paper contains the results of the two socio-economic surveys of the integrated coastal resource management projects that were conducted in Pakklong Sub-District, Pathew District, Chumphon Province in Thailand. The first survey was conducted on 7-11 January 2002, and the second was conducted on 12-14 December 2006. The studies identified the present socio-economic conditions after the project operation, monitored the changes in socio-economic status and environmental conditions in the project area, and identified the degree of contribution by the project in fisheries resources management to the local people.
