The Fifth Meeting of Thailand’s National Scientific And Technical Committee

The fifth meeting of Thailand’s National Scientific and Technical Committee for the project entitled “Establishment and Operation of a Regional System of Fisheries Refugia in the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand” was conducted virtually via Zoom Application by the Department of Fisheries on 6th July 2021. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Praulai Nootmorn, Senior Expert in Marine Fisheries and National Focal Point for Thailand, acted for Senior Expert in Fisheries Management, the Chairperson, in his absence. There were 21 attendees participating in the meeting, composed of 14 committee members, 2 project officers for DOF, and 5 observers form Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, Project Coordinating Unit, Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency, and Department of Marine and Coastal Resources. This meeting was focusing on the Revision of Thailand’s National Scientific and Technical Committee, Progress of the Project Implementation, Report on the Project Extension, Report on the Catch Information of Short Mackerel from Gill Net Fisheries in Trat Province during the year 2018-2021 and the Management Planning for Fisheries Refugia of Short Mackerel at Trat Site concerning Gill Net Fisheries.
