Abstract
Global concern on climate change has created awareness on its potential impacts on the fisheries sector. Climate change already affects Southeast Asia through apparent increase in frequency and intensity of extreme weather conditions with huge consequences that include: flooding and sea water level rise, seawater acidification, change of water temperature, change in species composition and distribution, coral bleaching, increased frequency of storms and cyclones.

Southeast Asia one of the world’s most vulnerable regions to climate change due to its long coastlines, high density of population and economic activity in coastal areas, and heavy reliance on agriculture, fisheries, forestry and other natural resources.
